Sophie Manzitto, Omaha born and based, uses a variety of media to create her work. She uses techniques she has picked up over years spent in printmaking studios, and learned at her time as a student in the Kent Bellows Mentoring Program. Printmaking and mixed media being the most prominent artistry in her work. The artist uses imagery that stems from her relationship with the world, and how different generations interact with it, and each other. Growing up in a fundamentalist cult, she explores concepts of isolation and loneliness in a post-apocalyptic world.
